Time for a change. No other way to put it.

And a change there shall be.

Well that was fast… I started my job as a cook at a local restaurant here, worked one day then had to quit. I applied to several dozen jobs and there was one I wanted more than anything else. But I did not think I would get to spot so I took yet another cook job.

Good news though, I did. I will be working in a local hotel getting paid decently and be working a grave shift. Which most people would not like working a grave shift, I am going to love it. I am very much a night person, I function better at night by leaps and bounds. It is something about the insanity of the “world” going away. Now do not get me wrong I love people, I adore people, and I feel more comfortable in a room full of strangers than being alone. But there is so much chaos that goes on during the day, and at night it is just more peaceful. My mind settles down at night and I can think much more clearly.

If I ever attached the times I wrote my poetry or edited my photos you could see a huge difference in the ones I write during the day as opposed to night. My art in the day time is always chaotic, blurry, spontaneous, and highly unpredictable. And my art done at night is clam, settles, methodical, and smooth.

But basically I will be much happier working this job than the one I would have been doing. I will just be checking guests into a hotel and playing around on the internet all night while I am not working, which will be good, while I do not have stuff to do around the hotel I will basically be getting paid to work on my music, writing, and photography.

Oh well I am going to go lay down and take a bit of rest before I go down to the hotel and fill out my paper work. Hope all of you have a good day.

Here is a pretty wild photo I did for a friend of mine, thought it looked cool, and thought I would share.

I have had a long enduring break from writing in this place. So much time was spent trying to write in this every day that I forgot about other artistic venues I needed to be exploring and fulfilling.

Well I am back. There will not be as much poetry as before. Most likely more photos, most of my artistic strides are being put into music and into my books these days both of which I can not put up here, at least not yet. So mostly what you will be seeing here are my rants and raves about my daily life, and how I see things. And since I plan on teaching I plan on seeking out a handful of writers I feel have talent on here and will try to teach them everything I have learned over my years of writing.

Here are a few photos I have taken over the past few weeks for you.

One of a tree near by with some ducks playing underneath. Although they are quite distorted by the effect I used, you probably would not have know what they were unless I told you.

"Need To Be"

Sometimes
The only thing to say
Is you need to believe

Even in the dark
Out amongst the storms
You just need to be what you need
Before I can be…

My heart wants to help
But - My mind won’t let me be

Won’t let me see
It won’t let me believe

Out there - In the torrent days
You just need
You just really
Need
Too
Believe

Before I can be…

Alive this day

---

This is defiantly not one of my better poems, but after just two weeks come utter… Agonizing writers block, I’ll take what ever the hell I can get. Even if I think is was rather scraped together.

But isn’t that how all work is after you come back from a small interlude?

It is like baby steps for a few days. You may stumble on your way up to that infantile walking step climax of a decent piece. But you get there, in time.

There in no need to rush it.
